如果50年代搖滾樂是嬰兒期、60年代是青少年期，那麼70年代應該是正處荷爾蒙亂冒的反叛期。搖滾樂一直都不是溫良恭儉讓的乖乖牌，搖滾精神不就是反抗體制抵抗權威，龐克剛好點燃搖滾最原始狂野的一面，Sex Pistols、The Clash、Iggy Pop、Ramones、Misfits這些樂團，用最大的音量搗毀所有的虛偽假象。The Only Ones這支於1976年成軍的英國龐克樂團雖不如以上這些龐克大團的影響力，但是他們的經典單曲Another Girl, Another Planet卻也是80-90年代龐克搖滾的重要啟蒙歌曲，包括The Replacements、Blink-182、紛紛翻唱Another Girl, Another Planet，而The only Ones主唱Peter Perrett氣如游絲般的軟弱唱腔反映了自Felt、Television、The Cure這些新浪潮/龐克源於Bob Dylan的口齒不清的含混唱法。The Only Ones雖然只有這麼一首傳唱歌曲，但你聽聽在1977年到1981年間的三張專輯”The only Ones”、”Even Serpents Shine”、”Baby’s Got A Gun”裡頭其實好歌一大堆，加上旋律甜美配器多元(甚至有薩克斯風)，他們被忽略是大家的損失，Original Album classics系列盒裝將這3張絕版經典重新發行，是再次擁有The Only Ones的唯一機會，千萬別錯過了!
